The world is changing and so are we!

Over the last 18 months we’ve all experienced an unparalleled amount of change, that’s made us rethink and adapt the way we work, communicate, and do business.  And we‘re no different.

Earlier this year our parent company merged with Mitsubishi UFJ Lease and Finance Company Limited (MUL) which was a significant move for our business, as it means we are now part of one of the world’s largest and more diversified financial groups.

At the same time, we accelerated investment in our new digital platforms, enhancing our products to meet  the changing demands from our customers, ensuring we continued to provide outstanding levels of customer service.

This provided an ideal opportunity to create a bolder, fresher brand that is more aligned to the way we do business.

So from early next year, we will rebrand from Hitachi Capital (UK) PLC to our new trading style NOVUNA and Hitachi Personal Finance will become NOVUNA Personal Finance.

Our new name is derived from the Latin words “Novo” – To Make New and “Una” – Together, which we feel captures the essence of our business and our continued commitment to provide competitive products and outstanding customer experiences that our customers love.

This change marks the start of an exciting new era for us and our customers, and we’re positive you’re going to love it!

Same Service, same people, just bigger and better!

Our name might be changing but our promise to you stays the same. We’ll continue to provide competitive products, outstanding customer experiences and be there when you need us. After all, we’re still the same company with the same people behind our new brand.

As part of one of the world’s largest financial groups we’ll continue to invest in new products and applications that make it easier for our customers to manage their finances and achieve their ambitions. And we will do that in a way that helps create a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable future for everyone.

You don’t need to do anything.

You really don’t need to do anything. Your repayments, agreement terms and direct debits will stay the same and you can still contact us through all the same channels.  And our culture won’t change either, instead we want to use our new brand to better represent who we already are.

Over the next few months, you will see us start to introduce our new brand name across our websites, advertisements, and emails ahead of the full launch by the end of March 2022, so that you’re familiar with our new name.

Staying Safe

Unfortunately, we live in a world where fraudsters take advantage of any opportunity to target customers, so we ask that you stay extra vigilant. Keep in mind that we will never:

  • Ask you to reveal sensitive information such as your account log in details.
  • Ask you to move money from one account to another or request an upfront payment to release your funds.
  • Pressure you to make an important decision regarding your application or agreement with us.

We’re not revealing the full rebrand just yet, we’re saving that for next year, but we’ll continue to update you our progress and ensure our customers get to see everything first.
