Top destinations to visit this spring
With winter finally gone, longer days and milder weather means that spring is the perfect time to getaway and recharge your batteries.
If you’ve been longing to walk through fields full of flowers or ride a bicycle from vineyard to vineyard, then Geneva is the perfect destination.
While you’re there, make sure to book onto one of the many chocolate making or fondue cooking classes as well as exploring the beautiful landscapes. Switzerland is famous for its many fields of bright yellow Rapeseed flowers which will make some awesome backdrops to your photos.
Also, if you fancy making your holiday into a bit of a European tour, Paris and Milan are only a 4 hour train ride away, so what are you waiting for?
Banff National Park, Canada
Just because it’s spring doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy the snow. With milder temperatures, longer days and less crowds, this is the perfect time to enjoy a mini skiing/snowboarding break.
Banff National Park allows you to ski three mountains in three days for the price of a one day ticket in the USA – how great is that? Then, for a change of scenery, you can spend some time exploring the Rockies and beautiful lakes.
Don’t forget to make time to visit Johnston Canyon’s waterfalls as well as enjoying the hot springs to relax and unwind.
Tel Aviv, Israel
Not many people would expect Tel Aviv on their bucket list but in spring time, the whole city comes alive. Outdoor bars, restaurants and nightclubs fill up fast with the locals making the best time to visit and mingle without dealing with throngs of tourists.
If you’re a foodie, then the street food in Tel Aviv is a must try. Grab a freshly made sabich (warm pita stuffed to the brim with fried aubergine, hardboiled egg and crisp salad) or maybe some traditional hummus and enjoy in the sunshine.
Make time to wander around the Levinsky Markets before you leave to really immerse yourself in the local and colourful culture of Israel.
If a hiking holiday is at the top of your list then book yourself a ticket to Bariloche. Spend some time soaking in the stunning sights of Lake Nahuel Huapi or check out the beautiful views from the top of Cerro Companario.
For you ale enthusiasts, there’s something very special for you in the form of over 25 craft breweries in providing the town with an abundance of different beers to sample and choose a few bottles to take back home.
The best part is that due to it being off season, there is no need to make any advance reservations so you can follow your every whim and enjoy the town your own way.
