Edinburgh’s Hogmanay street party is one of the world’s biggest New Year social event and is a full 3 days of celebrations!
In the streets, you’ll find live bands and DJs, as well as bars and food stalls. And when the clock strikes midnight, more than a billion people worldwide will see images of the fireworks at Edinburgh Castle.
As soon as the clock strikes midnight, this usually peaceful Danish town turns in one big street party at the Town Hall Square with fireworks, roman candles and champagne flowing into the early hours.
For a quieter celebration, Tivoli Gardens has its own firework display with plenty of restaurants nearby to enjoy a meal while watching the sky light up.
Don’t expect the party to start before 11pm here as Barcelona is a city that doesn’t sleep. Everyone gathers at the Plaça d’Espanya to watch the firework display being set off on Montjuïc.
